Burlesque Baby!
Yet another rave review! I am so delighted at how fabulous our first show at McCurdy's Comedy theater turned out! Man in suit becomes siren in tassels. Songstress chugs vodka on stage. Wigs get ripped off, revealing true beauty. A tiny flirt takes bubble bath and stage and washes away the sins of the entire front row. Yup, that was the performance in a nutshell!

My very first radio appearance! The morning before our latest show on February 3rd I was invited to come and pop my balloons on air! Such a blast!

In One Week....
In one week we will performing our very FIRST debut performance at Selva in downtown Sarasota at 10:00pm! I have been so busy preparing for the show, I haven't really had time to think about what a huge deal all of this is. It has started to hit me the past couple days now that people are buying tickets and we are upon our last couple rehearsals. The amount of support and excitement swirling around the debut performance is overwhelming. It shows me that Sarasota is ready and eager for burlesque to be a part of the arts scene here. The other Diamond Dames and I have been feverishly making stage props (giant lollipops being one of them), practicing tassel twirling, embellishing costumes with rhinestones just to name a few! We are so incredibly excited to finally perform and show everyone how Burlesque is done!

The Observer newspaper interviewed me last week about starting Sarasota's first Burlesque Troupe. I was so delighted when I saw the article yesterday online for the first time! Since becoming a burlesque dancer people come up to me all the time telling me about the weirdest things they think i'll like such as; "Hey there's this website called LAZER TITS that you would love!! " Wasn't sure what to expect, but once I read more about it, they really do have a great message behind their work.
